Korean Food

Pirate

I know they usually allow astronauts to bring some the foods from their homeland rather than have to eat the bland American diet, but kimchi in an enclosed space...

(Of course, there's plenty of other Korean food which would make the other astronauts jealous.)

Kimchi

Not worry, the Korean government have actually spend quit a bit of money making Kimchi that won't explode while up in space.

After 50 years...

Do we see any Register articles on "truck drives along motorway"?

After 50 years of space flight, the docking of a space capsule should hadly be news. By now these should all just be mundane activities.

Yes, and we should all have flying cars in the drive and personal jet-packs for those quick trips to the store.

Alert

You don't see autonomous trucks on roads. Soyuz is not news but the Euro ATV is.

Truck drivers should be very worried.

Hey Mazer, why bring food with him? Surely he can ask Oleg and Sergei to get their people to blast another slow-cooked mongrel into space when he gets peckish?

Thumb Up

I should imagine that, if driving a truck along a motorway was as technologically difficult, expensive and dangerous; was also being undertaken by a multitude of nations in an almost unprecedented spirit of cooperation and had such a huge possible impact upon the whole world, then, yes, we would see headlines about "truck drives along motorway."

Space exploration needs to be kept in the public eye so that public apathy doesn't kill it. It may be that space exploration & travel maybe the only thing that saves our species.

Go

Wholeheartedly agree.

The sooner we can learn to stop f**king shooting each other and work together to get off this rock, the higher chance the human race has of not being an insignificant blip in the history of the universe we live in.
