If you don't get a move on, this stupid government will be selling off all the available bandwidth with these unreasonably long terms.

Lets have some international rationalisation QUICKLY and in the meantime a very urgent and fully binding MAXIMUM lease of TWO YEARS while the rationalisation takes place.

2o years is FAR too long. What's to stop someone sitting on that spectrum letting it stagnate in 4mb land for those 20 years? If some new and exciting technology comes along that could make use of that spectrum but cannot use it because some large corp is sitting on it what happens? It goes down the plughole.

i mean, they must spend most of that behind bars in the HOP(Houses Of Parliment), when they ain't in the HOP they are on the HOP down the local pub/bookies(on expenses).

Im sure the money wasted on them would be better spent giving them comfy padded accomodation at HM's Pleasure (indefinitly).

20 years is probably too long, but two is definitely too short - there's no incentive for providers to invest in expensive equipment, marketing, &c &c.

Something like five to ten years would offer a decent compromise, but would probably mean less wonga for the government. But then, the 3G rollout and adoption was SUCH a success, why should they try anything different...?

you miss the point! of course it wastn the governments fault that 3G was stuffed up - after all its never the governemnts fault.

in the same way that wen a company does well its due to the CEOs superiour insight and management skill, when it goes belly up its due to external conditiond or the market.

The reason it's 20 years is that with the cost of building out a network at this frequency it's going to take 20 years to get the money back
