The Oregon man who was born a woman, had his breasts removed as part of a gender reassignment but retained his female reproductive organs and then got up the duff [1], much to the amazement of just about everyone, will prove he's pregnant by flashing some ultrasound scan proof at Oprah Winfrey on Thursday.

Thomas Beatie, of Bend, is legally a bloke and legally married to Nancy. His missus was unable to have kids due to a hysterectomy, so cue a donated-sperm conception in dad's intact womb.

The shock news broke [2] back in March, but some unkind souls have since suggested the whole thing's a hoax. Accordingly, the happy couple will now set the record straight on US TV.

The Oprah Winfrey Show website promises [3] the pair will "open up about the secret they've been hiding for months" and teases: "Thomas is 34, happily married and…pregnant. Our cameras capture it all - the ultrasound, inside the nursery and more. How is this possible?" ®
