Intel Chairman Craig Barrett appears overwhelmed by a European Union investigation into the company's actions. Earlier this month, European Competition Commission officials busted open Intel offices in Munich, hunting for documents related to alleged price fixing with retailers. That raid added to an existing EC investigation into Intel's business practices.
While attending the European Business Summit in Brussels, Barrett complained about the EU employing aggressive tactics.
"You have to ask the EU why they are expanding it at this stage," Barrett told reporters, according to a report from Reuters. "We have not had a chance to respond to the first allegations yet."
