I was rooting for YaSoft! - never mind. Nice logo though, and the pun wouldn't have worked with my favoured option.

How convenient you've forgotten who came up with that - otherwise you'd owe them at least $6bn in brandstorming fees.

remember the Australia Santa that was sacked for saying Ho Ho Ho.... (seemingly a word of disrepute for our North American friends).

Not sure that MicroHoo wouldn't fall into the same category.

Someone buy a pint or three for whoever came up with the logo.

It's good enough to be the un-official logo for whatever they choose for the name.

I'd have gone for HooSoft, which has the advantage of having a "fun" mispelling if you drop out an "o" from the front half of the name ;)

Thank you for caring...

Ian, but they didn't forget - I didn't tell them. I could afford to give them "MicroHoo Cares!" because the market research is concluding and already paid for (classified as "sunk costs") over the years of my buying MS 'stuff'.

I prefer MicroYah!

How did 'ElReg' know that I had fired up the joss-sticks, stuck on the whalesong CD and partook of a large line of Bolivian marching powder, then washed it down with one of those bloody Mexican beers, with a slice of lime wedged into the top of the bottle, when I suddenly spurted out 'Microhoo' to post here?

I think the Vulture beat you to it, I saw him walking about in rasberry jelly and mumbling about the story of the shmoo.

Penguin because I think that from the expression on his face he has just sat down in some rasberry jelly too.

There should be subtle changes and should describe the ultimate result of the two company. It ought to be:

Micro....Who?

Microhoo Cares

By Paul Randle
Posted Saturday 23rd February 2008 23:20 GMT

Depending on the efficacy of the resulting entity, surely it should be either "Microhoo Scares", or "Hoo Cares".

My vote's on the latter.

A title is required.

What a name Microhoo? It sounds funny and stupid. Anyway, Yahoo by Microsoft is the best. And you did not include YAHMic! in the choices for the poll. The winner for me is YAHMic!
