Northgate lands mobile deals

The house that Jack built

Northgate Information Solutions confirmed yesterday that it had won mobile services contracts worth a combined total of £1.2m.

The Hemel Hempstead-based firm, which late last year was snapped up by private equity firm Kholberg Kravis Roberts and Company in a £593m deal, said it had inked two housing organisation agreements.

Under the first deal, Northgate will provide support to around 1,000 Places for People housing officers throughout the UK.

It reckoned the new contract would help improve services for residents by allowing officers to log maintenance requests on-the-spot.

The second contract has been signed with Service Birmingham which has selected Northgate to supply mobile services across the city, with the technology being primarily used by the housing department.
