Comments on: Tarantino plans Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! remake

A desperate search for an IT link

only brings up the thought of a virtual Britney to make her more realistic?

Struthio camelus!

Paris Hilton

You know Hollywood is really scraping the barrel if they're looking to do a remake of a Russ Meyer film. Or is it another step in the growing acceptance of porn in mainstream work? Whatever, Tarantino or not this is a pretty low tide mark in cinema.

Unless you include Ms Hilton's efforts of course.

Has to be an upset Paris for not possessing the necessary huge bangers to be considered for the film.

Kitten with a whip

Boffin

"Kitten with a whip" was the only movie I thought didn't deserve the mst3k treatment - it was actually pretty good.

I'd like to see what Tarantino does with Faster Pussycat ... but I think putting Britney in there is probably a mistake. What happens if she, um, "falls off the wagon" during filming or something? Faster Tarantino! Film! Film! Before something happens to the star :p

TARANTINO EQUALS FAIL!!!!!

Posted Thursday 17th January 2008 10:01 GMT

Paris Hilton

That is all really. Lets face facts, it was all down hill after Pulp Fiction.

oh yes

Posted Thursday 17th January 2008 10:04 GMT

Go

Britney spears, shaven head, samurai swords, tarantino, girls, killing, blood prostitutes.

don't know about anyone else, but this sounds like the best thing ever!!

Sod that

Posted Thursday 17th January 2008 10:10 GMT

Just give us "Inglorious Batards" please, Mr. Tarantino.

Russ Meyer? Vixens?

Posted Thursday 17th January 2008 10:14 GMT

Coat

Why do people have to ruin perfection and Photoshop Uma Thurman out of the image?

Anyway, Google on "Tank Vixens", but it almost sounds like a T&A version of "Thelna and Louise"

Go Quentin Go ....... Make my Day, Punk, with AI Fiction that is Veritable Fact:-)

Alien

Paris and Uma do look uncannily like sisters. Check out the pic at 00:46 of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-czwy-aVbbU and the El Reg Faster Pussycat master.

"Britney spears, shaven head, samurai swords, tarantino, girls, killing, blood prostitutes."

Best thing ever? Actually that's the contents of my Google search history!

Tura Satana

Posted Thursday 17th January 2008 10:35 GMT

Thumb Down

There was only one Russ Meyer, the awesomeness of Tura Satana can never be topped by any 21st century replicant.

could be interesting

Posted Thursday 17th January 2008 10:38 GMT

Thumb Up

Considering the venture in to honouring the Grindhouse movies it's almost a natural progression.

As Russ Meyer never did much in the way of subtle in his films, I hope there will be something with the humour like the fight at the Titty Twister in Dusk Till Dawn. Blood, gore, guns and nekkid wimmin - so corny that Russ could have shot it.

That shark jumping moment...

Stop

Everyone hits it sooner or later.

Has anyone actually seen FPKK?

Posted Thursday 17th January 2008 11:15 GMT

Let's see, there is no nudity, no sex, lots of strong language and a bunch of women in tight sweaters randomly murdering people for no real reason. It succeeded in its objective of making people beg Russ Meyer to stick to tit movies.

@Jon Double Nice

Jackie Brown wasn't so bad. I liked it.

Oh and Kill Bill 1 + 2 were quite good (though the first one was better than the second one in my opinion).

No way I would call Resevoir Dogs a good flick, and no way would I bother watching Death Proof.

As for his latest foray into the grindhouse and B-movie ultra dross parade, well he is well suited to it.

Presumably we'll get his trademark going backwards and forwards stuff and seeing the end of the movie with the beginning somewhere in the middle again.

Kim Kardashian?

Posted Thursday 17th January 2008 12:35 GMT

And other than work for her Dad before he died (undoubtedly because no one else would hire her), she's done what exactly that would imply she can act, think or even read?

Not actually such a good film

Posted Thursday 17th January 2008 12:41 GMT

Paris Hilton

Perhaps I'm one of the two people here to have actually seen FPKK, in the cinema no less. It's basically a slow black and white road movie. Arty perhaps but not particularly entertaining. If you want an entertaining (I'm slightly loathed to use the word 'good') Russ Meyer film, check out Supervixens or Beyond the Valley of the Dolls.

Personally I'm waiting for the Tarantino treatment of 'Nora-neko rokku: Sekkusu hanta'.

@TARANTINO EQUALS FAIL!!!!!

Paris Hilton

He really ought to be banned from making anymore stupid movies.

I could only stomach the first 20mins of his latest rubbish (Deathproof) - What an utter load of navel gazing, bollocks.

I really don't know why he continues to get funding.

He should get back to writing a proper script with a proper story and then making a proper movie... Alas he's got his head stuck so far up his own arse that he'll just carry on doing the same crap.

@AC Re: Kim Kardashian?

Paris Hilton

Probably just her own "acting experience" similar to that of her best pal Paris' exploits...... she's got "Super Star" written all over her :p

Whats wrong with amanfromMars?

Black Helicopters

His comment made perfect sense.

Think he's been abducted by government agents?

Anon because they'll be looking for me next.

re: deathproof

you missed a really fantastic 30 minutes at the end of the film

@TARANTINO EQUALS FAIL

"Lets face facts, it was all down hill after Pulp Fiction"

Well, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I loved Jackie Brown and Kill Bill.

LOL

he has done some real good stuff, yes even Deathproof, but I just love a check my brain at the door movie as much as I love one which really makes me think.

So go on Tarantino make a good one, but nothing in between!

For those of you who have dissed "Reservoir Dogs" OR "Grindhouse", you really need to contemplate whether or not you even need to watch movies anymore. If you can not approve or much less enjoy these movies, what business do you have commenting on any of Mr. Tarantino's work? You obviously cannot see perfection when it is in front of your noses...

yum

Yup, I am the other person who has seen both FPKK!! and Supervixens, and I preferred the former personally. Much more "arty" and definately hot for a Tarantina makeover in my opinion. But since these are supposedly the hottest dancin' chicks on the dusty road to mayhem, wouldn't it be more appropriate to use the likes of Jessica Alba, Hally Berry and perhaps Eva Mendes?

Oh, and I'll forgive the lack of "angles" on this one ;-)

Not Britney!

Posted Wednesday 30th January 2008 14:54 GMT

Thumb Up

I personally love FPKK, its been a favourite of mine since I first saw it on C4 back in 99/2000.

If anybody can remake this film and make it good its Tarantino but for f***s sake, Britney Spears? How to ruin a movie in one easy stroke!

Don’t Miss
