There’s nothing like a royal crest to give your product that certain je ne sais quoi, and Nintendo’s Wii console has finally got one - sort of.

According to the online arm of newspaper The People, a source at the Palace recently revealed that the Queen became hooked on the console over the Christmas break, after her grandson Prince William was bought one by his girlfriend Kate Middleton.

The unnamed source claimed that “she played a simple ten-pin bowling game” and that William was “enormously impressed at having such a cool gran”.

It seems it certainly helped to have friends in high palaces, sorry, places over Christmas then, in order to secure a Christmas Wii - after all, very few others could find one...®
