Fark.com has filed an application (http://tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?regser=serial&entry=77338491) to trademark "Not Safe For Work", offering the delicious possibility of mass litigation against roughly half of net content providers including, of course, El Reg (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/05/18/belgian_election_campaign/) (link NSFW, natch).

The audacious move was spotted by Trademork (http://www.trademork.com/not-safe-for-work/), which not unreasonably points out that it "might be a little difficult to protect and enforce this mark".

Well, time will tell... ®
