Sure can, I'm sure he's already got the systems and papers to prove he's a citizen. Of Canada, because we suck here in the USA.

Maybe it's just me but those prizes are no good

I consider myself a pretty good system admin. Though I can't find a single thing on that prize list that looks even remotely interesting to me.

He already won the "Network Professional of the Year". Back in '96 I think.

"By entering the Contest, you... agree to allow Splunk and all sponsors to use your name and employer’s name in all the Contest promotional materials including, but not limited to, press releases and presentations...."

This in addition to agreeing to be spammed by Splunk.

Sounds great!

I'll help run and host the site, I'll even be a judge ;-)

We'll just need some DECENT sponsorship and prizes to encourage entries etc.

Mega-corp, Vendors, ISVs - if you're llistening, dig deep and let's have some support for the rest of the world please!?

The BOFH is *the Reason* I first started reading El Reg. I too started out on the helldesk, and those stories were like a tonic for the weary soul...

I wrote a video game once

SysAdmins were a monster as you got to the heart of the game map they got really tough to kill BOFH would be one of those.
