Free whitepaper – Avoiding costs from oversizing data center and network room infrastructure
Do you have a System Administrator who needs some loving? We've got a tip: Nominate him or her for SysAdmin of the Year.
Perhaps you missed the chance on Sysadmin Day to send felicitous affection to your IT department — maybe that's why you're still running Windows ME. Fortunately, there's still an opportunity to make amends (assuming you're located in the US or Canada). Time, however, is now of the essence.
The contest ends at 11:59 PM PDT on Friday, October 12. Head over to the 2007 SysAdmin of the Year website and get praising.
The grand prize winner receives a Gibson Explorer guitar, an Apple Macbook Pro, a Splung Enterprise License, and an all-expense paid trip to LISA 2007 in Dallas. Three runners-up get an Apple iPhone to brick at their leisure. Honorable mentions get a case of Red Bull energy drink to wash down their sorrow.
Entrants will be selected by a panel of eight judges including Jeff Bates, co-founder of Slashdot.org and Michael Beck, winner of last year's grand prize. Winners will be notified at the beginning of November. ®
