IT jokes aside, hope the Wee Man is ok. Have quite a fondness for vultures. I think they get overly picked upon. Bit mean really. Without them, corpses would be left to rot for weeks. They serve a useful function really. And they *are* sweet...ish.

Although I far you may be right with the "tear your arm off at the shoulder" thing...this is not your grandma's budgie.

You know he doesn't look like he couldn't kill something to eat if nothing already dead presented it's self.Still road kill wouldn't be hard too hard find for a Vulture they can I have read detect carrion quite some ways away.

Surely there will be a mass of people scouring the area in order to spot the amiable beastie!

Went to a birds of prey show last year where they had a pair of vultures. The handler introduced one called Cherie and went on to say, "And yes, the other one IS called Tony".

Can't recall what type of vulture they were, but the handler did comment that they were rather wimpy and get beaten up by crows and magpies.

I got to fly a South African vulture at the Shuttleworth estate in Bedfordshire - what a fantastic bird; it'd make a great pet.

Not because it would be great company, but because it'd help thin out the local population of homicidal yapping bog-roll warmers currently carpeting the park with their crap.

The poor beastie "will probably be finding it tough to locate suitable carrion."
