Ingram Micro fingers new European chief
Global reseller Ingram Micro has announced that Jay Forbes will take over from EMEA boss Hans Koppen, who is retiring at the end of this year.
Forbes, 46, begins his tenure on at Ingram on Monday after a spell as CEO of Canadian IT and communications firm Aliant. Prior to that he was finance chief at commercial property firm and an energy company.
Ingram CEO Alain Monie said: "Jay has an impressive track record of leading complex companies during times of significant growth and change. Jay will be charged with building on the successes of our EMEA region by driving growth...while expanding our operating margins."
Koppen, 64, has been in charge of Ingram's European operations since March 2004, having previously led both Latin American and Asia-Pacific regions.
