CA issues 'threat' to channel
Asks partners to get certified
CA is to launch a channel programme to help resellers tout its threat management solutions bundle.
It said the scheme, which kicks off 1 September, was in response to growing market demand from end users looking for a simplified, single solution to address a range of threats.
Existing so-called premier partners and leading channel resellers will be encouraged to undergo training to achieve technical accreditation so as they can then punt the likes of CA's anti-virus and threat management software to customers.
CA, which was formerly known as Computer Associates, said it will reward partners that sign up to the firm's existing business programme which has been roped into the new threat scheme.
Partners will be required to pass a sales certification process the incentive being qualification for a seven per cent rebate on sales of the product bundle.
The software provider is also throwing a five per cent pricing discount into the mix that will run from 1 September to the end of the year for any partner that buys the product.
It added that the threat management solution package will be distributed by Ingram Micro, Computer 2000 and CMS Peripherals. ®
