Japanese homeless folk are generally quite industrious (selling used manga, unbrellas, etc) and normally quite well presented. I think our homeless folk could learn a thing or two from them.

Theres a J-Drama which features a person living in an internet cafe... mmm Maid in Akihibara. Funny if silly show.

It would help

It would help they didn't have beds in their cybercafes. They are absoultely wonderful places the cybercafes of Japan, with loads of facilities on offer. It's easy to see how homeless can get sucked into them.

Are These The Same People

that were living under the bridges before, or a newer, more modernistic set of Japanese homeless?

What about the cardboard city dwellers in Shinjuku Station - do they use WiFi?

Heh...expect to see "LAN wars" or some similar concept appearing on Challenge TV in a few years time, shortly after Takeshi's Castle.
