This has nothing to do with privacy.

This is all about the parents being embarrassed by their darling little hooligans.

The little buggers can't wait to post images of bullying or attacks on teachers, so I have no sympathy at all.

I'm glad the PCC threw out the 'we didn't give permission for the filming' argument - it clearly had to be obtained without the school's permission and it was in the public interest to do so. Identifying kids, though, is a big no no, especially when it turns into a national story. The paper was pretty stupid not to obscure their faces as it really wouldn't have detracted from the story.
