Motorbike crash man fails to notice loss of legTravels 2km before penny dropsPublished Tuesday 14th August 2007 10:59 GMT A Japanese motorcyclist failed to notice his right leg had been severed below the knee in a collision with a motorway central reservation, and he travelled a further 2km before spotting he'd left something behind at the scene, the Guardian reports. Company worker Kazuo Osada, 54, was on a jaunt with 10 other bikers yesterday when he failed to negotiate a bend. However, he was "unaware his right leg had been severed below the knee apparently because his attention was focused on the strong pain he felt from the crash", according to police. He clocked his loss when he subsequently arrived at a junction, and a fellow biker obligingly popped back to pick up the missing limb. Mainichi reports he was whisked to hospital, but whether surgeons were able to reattach the leg remains unclear. ® 41 comments posted — Comment period finished And he didn't notice his rear brake wasn't working?Posted: 11:06 14th August 2007 Not noticingPosted: 11:14 14th August 2007 GroanPosted: 11:37 14th August 2007 Did they breath test himPosted: 11:40 14th August 2007 BootnotesPosted: 11:41 14th August 2007
