It reminds me of those idiot website-making newbies (i.e. me), who try to just lob a PHP script on their server (i.e. last week). If that's the case, someone probably has quite a bit of egg all over their face (I've just had breakfast)

Imagine, after all this uptime, that a server is "suddenly" "misconfigured". What could cause that? Kernel rebuild? Apache rebuild? Application install? $5000?

It was a _misconfigured_ server added to the load balancer.
