BT tries French IT services outfit for size
Offers €60m cash
BT said today it has put forward a €60m cash offer to buy a division of French IT services firm CS Communication and Systèmes.
The firm's mission critical infrastructures unit provides a variety of services including IT consulting, data centre support, outsourcing, and network integration in the public and private sectors.
CS employs over 1,300 staff and saw sales of nearly €138m last year.
The UK telecoms giant has an exclusive agreement with CS until 30 November 2007 in order to complete the transaction.
BT shares are trading up 0.16 per cent at 318 pence this morning on the London Stock Exchange. ®
