think you will find a lot of Nokia handsets buzz when you turn them on or off, my 6233 certainly does...

Also isn't Immersion the company that sued Sony over its vibrating joypads?

Whats there patent for, all applications of a motor with an offset weight attached to the business end?

if so whats the betting the next reg headline featuring them will be :

"Immersion and Ann Summers get in bed together"

You're right about the phones, virtually all new Nokias nowadays vibrate when you first turn them on.

I think the famous patent is for where there's two motors somehow involved, which is why they didn't sue Nintendo (who use one motor) but did sue Sony (who use two).
