I'm gonna move to Sweden and definitely apply my MMO gaming as an addiction. I can't show up to work everday because I don't log off the games til 6am just hours before I need to head into work. Pay me and let me play my games during work hours so that I don't have to stay up so late cramming in every free minute I have off of work playing.

300 shows per year ? No wonder he's having difficulties at work ! Being deaf most of the time, with no sleep won't buy him a job ! Last show I was into, I heard a beep with lasted for 3 days. Was right in front of the bass amp. Got me worried :-)

He actually gets to play his music at work? That's so awesome! Not that I don't because I'm working at a fairly relaxed music tech facility, but still... working the 9 to 5 with your tunes blasting out all the while has got to be a bonus.

I think that would be a sensible solution, and not bother anybody else. In fact, I'm doing a 9-5 desk job right now and listening to a bit of punk (real, not this imaginary fluffy pseudo-goth stuff they're calling punk nowadays), and half of the people near me are wearing headphones - I don't see the issue.
