Fujitsu Services posted a good increase in revenue profits and claimed a record forward order book of £6.6bn, up from £6.5bn last year.

For the year ended 31 March 2007, Fujitsu made a profit before tax of £172m, up 11.5 per cent on last year, and increased turnover by 7.5 per cent to £2,465m.

CEO David Courtley said the results showed good organic growth of Fujitsu's major clients like the UK government and KLM in Holland.

Ovum analyst Angel Dobardziev described the results as a solid mid-table performance - better than Atos Origin and Getronics, but not quite as good as Accenture or Indra. Dobardziev said Fujitsu needs more offshore and nearshore - Russia and eastern Europe - operations to compete with its peers.
