Come the Rise of The Machines, our mechanised overlords are going to need ways to track their subjected population, and what better way than using RFID-reader-equipped Segways to roam city streets logging the chips embedded in every slave human.
epcSolutions is demonstrating the RFID-tracking Segways at the RFID Journal Live event currently taking place in Orlando. For the moment the wheels with sticks have human drivers as they coast around logging Gen2 RFID tags and reporting back, over Wi-Fi connections, to their machine masters.
According to epcSolutions CTO Chuck Williams, "the mobility platform can be used for asset management, inventory, and even security applications, and it's fun to ride!"
Perhaps there's still time to escape to the Netherlands? ®
