Peak perfects retractable USB Flash drive

The Power of One Brief: Top reasons to choose HP BladeSystem

Sick of losing the caps of the end of your USB Flash drives? Peripheral maker Peak has the answer: a drive with a slide-over cover.

Available now in capacities ranging from 1GB to 8GB - a 16GB model's on the way, Peak said - the Peak Slider cover just retracts back over the drive to reveal the USB connector. Done with the drive? Just slide the cover back again. Doddle.

Peak claimed the 13g, 6.1 x 2.2 x 1.2cm drives deliver read and writes speeds of over 12MBps and 1.5MBps, respectively.
