Relisys has stopped trading, administrator confirms

Begbies Traynor released a statement late on Friday confirming that monitor maker Relisys Digital went into administration on 21 March 2007.

Simon Thomas of Begbies Traynor, joint administrator alongside David Hudson working on the Relisys case, said: "It has not been possible to continue to trade the business due to its financial position. We are in the process of realising the debtors and the tangible assets of the company.

"As you will appreciate the company has only been in administration for two days and we are still trying to ascertain the exact position with regard to the warranties it gave with its products."

The Cheshire-based firm, which had been selling a wide range of LCD and plasma products, previously went into administration in January 2006, but was able to start trading again some weeks later.

Thomas advises that all customer enquiries should be made in writing to Begbies Traynor, 32 Cornhill, London, EC3V 3BT.

He added: "At present it would appear that the only warranties that are likely to be honoured are those which were supported by an insurance policy covering sales made between 1 January 2007 and 28 February 2007, however, this is still to be confirmed." ®
