BT buys Calif. computer services firm

Infill

fingers pointing at man

BT has broadened its US footprint by tying up a deal for International Network Services.

The telecoms giant is merging the 900-strong Californian services firm into its own 7,000 strong professional services arm. INS specialises in four areas: Enterprise Architecture and Governance; Business Productivity; Information Risk Management; and Infrastructure Transformation.

While being effusive about INS’ expertise, BT was less forthcoming on the financial nitty gritty of the deal. INS is privately held, and beyond the headcount, the only other financial snippet was that it had gross assets of $49.7m as of September 25.®
