Computacenter buys services company Digica

Gets South African datacentre

Computacenter is buying Digica from its management shareholders and private equity groups Bridgepoint Capital and Lyceum Capital.

Computacenter is paying £15.9m in cash for the firm plus taking on debt of £12.1m. Digica specialises in medium-sized businesses and public sector contracts. It has UK datacentres in Nottingham, Leeds, Warrington as well as one in Cape Town, South Africa. For the year ended 30 june 2006 Digica brought in revenues of £19.4m.

The acquisition will help Computacenter in its desire to increase service revenues and its South African offices will bolster Computacenter's offshore facilities currently based in Barcelona.®
