Motorola cuts black RAZR for Red AIDS charity

Black is the new... er... red

Black is the new red. Product Red, that is, the Bono-backed AIDS charity working to fight the spread of the disease in Africa. Having launched a red SLVR earlier this year and a red RAZR just recently, Motorola has launched a third Red-branded handset, this time one that's... er... black.

The handset's available with either a monthly contract - the hardware's price start at £0 - or a pay-as-you-go package - expect to pay around £110 for the phone. Five per cent of your monthly bill goes to Product Red.

The V3i Black is a quad-band GSM/GPRS device with a 127 x 220, 256,000-colour display, 10MB of memory, Bluetooth and a 1.23 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom.

The Product Red V3i Black is available now. ®
