BenQ launches compact camera duo

Unidentical twins

BenQ has launched two very similar compact digital cameras.

Apart from the CCD megapixel ratings and price - the C740 is 7 megapixel camera retailing at £139.99, and the C540 offers 5 megapixels for £89.99 - the models appear to be identical.

The pair sport a 2.5inch LCD screen and a Pentax lens with 3x optical zoom.

The C740 and C540 both support direct printing, continuous movie recording with optical zoom, 13 scene modes, multi-metering and 3:2 and 16:9 special output sizes - 3:2 resolution mode for easy printing without trimming edges, and 16:9 resolution mode for direct display on a widescreen TV.

The cameras will be available this month. ®
