BT and Sage are planning to integrate BT's Billing Analyst software into Sage's MMS accounting package. The idea is that small and medium sized businesses will be able to use the two packages together to keep a closer eye on their phone bills.
The forthcoming hybrid will allow businesses to see exactly who is making those expensive phone calls to Australia during their lunch break. And make sure they bill the right clients for the right phone calls.
BT business MD Bill Murphy says his customers are spending too much time going through phone bills with accounts. By integrating the two products, he says, customers should find it easier to "move from billing analysis to cost allocation payment and budgetary control within the accounting system".
The work is already underway, the companies say, and existing Sage MMS customers will be able to use the Billing Analyst features this autumn. ®
