Uri Geller has stumped up a $905,100 winning bid to secure Elvis Presley's first house [1] in Memphis, the BBC reports.

Elvis's first house - yours for sold for $905,100 [2]

Geller - described by the Beeb as "a former friend of Michael Jackson" - enthused: "We are unbelievably pleased. This is a piece of history." He says the house will now be restored and opened to Joe Public.

Of course, psychic Geller did not have to check the eBay auction for confirmation that he had indeed secured his prize, as he explained: "As the clock closed on the bidding [on] Sunday, I felt intuitively I got the price. Suddenly the radio started playing an Elvis song. That was Elvis telling me we got the house." ®
