Sony UK to ship white PSP next week

Out on Monday, etailers suggest

Agentless Backup is Not a Myth

Sony looks set to ship its glossy white version of the PlayStation Portable in the UK early next week, if a number of the country's biggest retailers are anything to go by. The special-edition handheld console will ship in the Value Pack bundle configuration.

Almost all the online retailers we checked with this afternoon have the white PSP's price down as £180 - that's the same price as the standard Value Pack featuring the more commonplace glossy black PSP, though you can also get a black Base Pack for £150.

Some retailers say the white PSP is available immediately, others that it will ship in a couple of days. Amazon.co.uk states Monday, 15 May is the ship date, and we've a hunch that's the day Sony UK will announce the product.

The Value Pack bundles headphones, a case, an AC adaptor and a 32MB MemoryStick with the PSP. The Base Pack contains only the console and the power adaptor. ®
