Mesh seeks to net gamers with ATI CrossFire rigs

AMD dual-core CPUs, too

Mesh has launched two new gamer-oriented desktop PC families, each based on AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core and equipped with ATI's Radeon Xpress 3200 chipset - on an Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe motherboard - to enable CrossFire multi-GPU graphics.

The Matrix² XFR range comprises three models, as does the Matrix² CrossFire line-up. The basic Matrix² XFR contains an X2 3800+, 512MB of DDR 2, a 160GB SATA hard drive, a 16x dual-layer DVD writer and 7.1 channel surround sound audio. The other models up the memory to 1GB, the HDD to 250GB and 300GB, respectively, and the CPU to 4200+ and 4400+ versions.

The three machines' graphics cards are a Radeon X1300 Pro, a Radeon X1800 GTO and a Radeon X1900 XT, respectively, all with 512MB of graphics memory. Each machine comes with a 19in LCD.

The Matrix² CrossFire machines all ship with a 300GB SATA HDD, 512MB to 1GB of memory, a 16x dual-layer DVD writer and 7.1 channel surround sound audio. The three PCs, respectively, ship with an Athlon 64 X2 4200+, 4400+ and 4800+ CPU, and twin Radeon X1600 Pro, X1800 GTO and X1900 XT GPUs. Each ships with a 20in LCD.

Prices for Matrix² XFR line range from £799 to £1,249. Matrix² CrossFire models run from £1,099 to £1,899. All prices include VAT, and each machine comes with a three-year warranty. ®
