Unipalm has been chosen to distribute Symantec's Sygate and WholeSecurity products.
Symantec bought Sygate in August 2005 and picked up WholeSecurity in September 2005. WholeSecurity aims to protect against "day zero" attacks.
Traditional anti-virus protection works by checking incoming messages against a list of known attacks - so there is a window before vendors recognise, and put out an update, for new viruses. WholeSecurity looks at behaviour rather than just checking against a list of known problems.
