Unipalm signs up ConvergeX

Unipalm's new 'home automation' division has signed an exclusive UK and Ireland distribution deal with Surrey software developer ConvergeX. Under the agreement, Unipalm will provide the specialist services that enable resellers and property developers to become authorised suppliers of ConvergeX's system.

The package offers control via IP connection from devices such as PDA, PC or smartphone, over a range of functions and appliances in the home. Installed, the scaleable platform typically has control over lighting, security, heating and entertainment devices.

Unipalm multimedia networking chief John Turner said: “Whilst we could already deliver to the high-end of the market through our relationship with HomeLogic, we believe ConvergeX will make digital home technology a compelling option for a wider audience of home owners and property developers.”®
