PlusNet racked up 176,000 broadband punters at the end of 2005, helping to boost turnover by 27 per cent.
In a brief trading update, the Sheffield-based ISP said broadband numbers had grown by 96 per cent over the last 12 months, helped by the addition of 16,000 DSL punters from its acquisition of Metronet for £1.7m in November.
Turnover for the year grew from £27.8m to £35.2m.
In a statement, PlusNet boss Lee Strafford said he was "delighted" at the result.
PlusNet plans to publish its interim results next month. ®
