Free whitepaper – Hands on with Hyper-V 3.0 and virtual machine movement

Poll Our piece last week [1] highlighting Dutch "media investment management" outfit MindShare's version of Donna Summer's She works hard for the money provoked a mini snowstorm of emails pointing us towards some truly Mephistophelean corporate anthems - musical works so hideous that prolonged exposure to them would certainly result in insanity and eventual death.

Well, we've spent a few hours in a lead-lined, soundproof room working through your recommendations, and have whittled these Melodies of Satan down to three contenders which we hereby provide in mp3 format for your listening pleasure:

First up is the apocalyptically bad Drupa [5] anthem - celebrating all that is good in Düsseldorf and the world of paper.

However, Drupa will find it has some tough competition from the The Association of International Glaucoma Societies [6]. Now, we're certain this charitable concern is doing top-notch work in tackling glaucoma, but it seems a shame to undo all of that with a "hymn", the sole purpose of which appears to be to provoke the listener to tear off his ears with pliers.

And finally, where would we be without the legendary KPMG [7] ditty, which has for years defined the "we've completely lost our marbles" corporate anthem paradigm. (In case you haven't suffered enough, check out the KPMG Jungle Mix [8] courtesy of phrenetic.org [9] who, to be frank, should be bloody ashamed of themselves.)

Enough. The rest is up to you...

And the worst corporate anthem is:

Drupa 1986 Song
Glaucoma Hymn
