Club 3D completes UK distie set-up with Enta signing

Now to build brand recognition

Enta is to distribute graphics card maker Club 3D's ATI-based boards in the UK, the two companies announced today.

Enta will take in Club 3D's Radeon X800 GT-based X800RX card, which will form the core of its pre-Christmas sales drive. It will also offer Club-3D's X300 and X550 PCI Express boards, alongside the AGP-based 9250 and 9550. Club-3D's X850 CFE CrossFire Master Card is on the list too.

Unlike most other graphics card vendors, Netherlands-based Club 3D targets the retail market exclusively. The company's Channel Manager, Gary Jones, told The Register the deal would provide the company with a "launch pad" to expand its presence in the UK market.

Club 3D's products are already distributed by Ingram Micro, JLT, Spire and Target, all of whom it has signed for UK distribution since February when it opened its UK office. With the addition of Enta, Jones said, the company now has its distribution channel set up.

"We will [now] push for brand recognition among end-users," he said. ®
