Twenty IT workers at Scottish telco Thus have been told their jobs are to be transferred to IT services outfit Computacenter.
The workers - many of whom provide internal tech support for Thus' ISP Demon - were told on Monday that they would be moved under TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment) regulations within the next six weeks.
One insider told us that many of those being shunted to Computacenter have been long-standing and loyal employees of Thus.
"Staff have no choice. Those who do not wish to move must either resign or as of that date will no longer be employed," they told us.
A spokeswoman for Thus confirmed the jobs move, adding the deal would deliver "cost efficiencies" for the company. No one at Computacenter returned calls for comment. ®
