Free whitepaper – Hands on with Hyper-V 3.0 and virtual machine movement

We'd like to begin this with a thank you to Tony Pottrell, a vulture eyed reader who wrote in to ask: "Has everyone forgotten??"

Well, we'll have to 'fess up, we had. But now that we have been reminded, we can't let the occasion go unmarked. Yes, ladies and gentlemen: it is Sysadmin Day. Go an give yours a hug. And maybe a pizza. And a beer, dammit.

For without sysadmins, where would we be? Not writing for this news site, for a start, and you probably wouldn't be reading it.

So point your browser at www.sysadminday.com [1] and find out how you can show your love and appreciation for your sysadmin. It is full of gift ideas, starting at ice cream and working up to rather more appreciative (expensive) tokens of your affection.

As the site says: "Let's face it, System Administrators get no respect 364 days a year. This is the day that all fellow System Administrators across the globe, will be showered with expensive sports cars and large piles of cash in appreciation of their diligent work."

Now that isn't too much to ask, is it? ®
