Free whitepaper – Ensuring service assurance in the new normal
London-based Spitfire - which provides telecoms services to small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) - has become the latest ISP to sign up to Easynet's wholesale broadband service LLUStream.
Launched in December, LLUStream provides a wholesale broadband service for telcos and ISPs who don't want to hook up to BT.
Using its own kit installed in BT exchanges via a process known as local loop unbundling (LLU), Easynet offers operators the chance to provide telecoms services direct to end users.
Easynet also claims its prices are between 30-35 per cent cheaper than BT Wholesale.
Spitfire - whose customers include Hackett, the River Café and West Ham footy club - has become the fifth ISP to sign up to Easynet's unbundled service.
A spokeswoman for Easynet told El Reg that more deals were in the pipeline and that the company hoped to announce two "significant" wins within the next two or three weeks. ®
