Distie round up Avnet Computing Components has picked up the franchise to distribute the XFX Revo64 storage accelerator card across Europe.
The card is made by XFX, a division of the Pine Group, and is built around the Netcell Revolution storage processing unit (SPU). Netcell is a California start-up - you can read more about its technology here.
Last month Netcell picked up its first design win in Europe, courtesy of the UK’s Scan Computers.
Target Components is stepping up notebook activity. It is kicking off with this month with the full-line up of Toshiba, Acer and Fujitsu brands and "highlights" from IBM, NEC and Maxdata.
Axis Communications has appointed Computer 2000 to distribute its line of IP surveillance network cameras and video servers.
IP surveillance is cheaper than traditional CCTV and sales growing at 30 per cent a year, according to IMS research, and offers “massive growth potential” to networking resellers, C2000 says.
It is running promo and training programmes for Axis.
