TDC snaps up Swiss AscomOn a rollPublished Tuesday 31st May 2005 10:24 GMT TDC has snapped up the business arm of Ascom's Swiss division - which provides LAN services - for DKK161m (£14.6m). Danish outfit TDC said the deal - which still needs regulatory approval - makes TDC Switzerland a major player in the provision of integrated IP-based communications solutions for the business market. Hans Peter Baumgartner, chief exec of TDC Switzerland, said that Ascom Business Communications IP/LAN networks and systems integration services would enable it to provide voice, data, images, and network services to business customers.
