Evesham Micro, the prominent UK system builder, is launching a reseller division to offer products to computer dealers.
The Evesham2Channel division, headed up by Craig McDowell, is looking to develop partnerships with resellers. Dealers will get access to Evesham-branded products and a dedicated account manager. McDowell promised dealers sensible margins and quality products.
He told The Reg: "We're looking for resellers who are fed up with the major manufacturers - we're a big reseller too so we understand them and won't be dictatorial with partners."
McDowell believes there is a big opportunity to go after smaller sales - "some resellers won't get their hands dirty except for big money, they don't understand the opportunity for sales at £25,000 and below.
"Smaller firms make up the majority of British business. They won't spend £100,000 on a NAS solution but they will spend a few grand on server consolidation and a simpler storage solution."
Evesham makes about 100,000 IT products a year, including notebooks, PCs and storage kit. It employs 450 people and is privately-owned. ®
