Parrot recruits Kipper

A Monty Python PR department exclusive

Friday fun from Businesswire: Bluetooth car kit outfit Parrot has appointed Jon Kipper "as Executive Vice President of Automotive Business Development".

The Kipper in question has been about a bit. He's brought his business skills to bear at Lucas Industries, the Prince Corporation, Johnston Controls and Sagem. He also did a stint at UK-based First Technology.

A chuffed Kipper enthused: "Parrot is known throughout Europe as a technology leader in the field of automotive Bluetooth hands-free phone applications, and is poised to support the rapidly growing Bluetooth market here in the States. Having the ability to offer systems with advanced features such as GPS, audio streaming, and voice recognition in conjunction with wireless phone functions gives Parrot an even broader appeal."

Yup, an audio-streaming GPS Parrot is just what the doctor ordered. We wish Kipper and Parrot many happy and fruitful years together. ®
