Telecom Italia's bid to acquire Tiscali France may not be inked until next week, The Register has learned.
Earlier press reports had suggested that the €250m to €300m acquisition could be completed as early as tomorrow. But this is thought to be a tad optimistic, with all the signs suggesting that a formal announcement is expected later next week.
Separately, the AFX newswire reports that staff at Tiscali France are planning strike action over what it describes as the "lack of information regarding Telecom Italia's plans".
Tiscali and Telecom Italia declined to comment on the latest developments. ®
