Spanish police have arrested an unemployed 20 year-old man on suspicion of creating and spreading the "Tasin" computer worm. The suspect (known only by his initials A.R.B.) from Ejica, near Seville, is being questioned by the Spanish Civil Guard over his role in the November 2004 virus outbreak, El Mundo reports.

The Tasin worm (AKA Anzae) spread via email using Spanish-language subject lines and infected thousands of computers in Spain and South America, trashing critical Windows system files. The worm purports to offer pictures of Madrid party girl Nuria Bermudez, who claims to have slept with half of the Real Madrid football team.

In a separate investigation, the Spanish Civil Guard last week arrested a man in Madrid on suspicion of creating a webcam Trojan. ®
