British gamers would rather go on a date with the lovely Lara Croft than spend an evening with ultra pneumatic glamour model Jordan, a survey has revealed.
The poll, conducted at the Game Stars Live exhibition, found that 61 per cent of the young men asked preferred the fictional brunette. There are obviously a lot of pixel men out there.
Chris Tufnell, 19, a marketing assistant from St. Albans, was evidently drawing on his many years of dating experience when he remarked: "Lara typifies everything men wish for in a partner. She's strong, smart and looks wicked in shorts. I can't imagine an evening out with Jordan being anything other than mind-numblingly dull."
We'd like to hear you say that within earshot of Peter Andre, Mr. Tufnell.
Far be it from us to be critical of the gaming public - after all, the odd Reg staffer has been known to flex the mouse on occasion - but we worry that an actual woman, no matter how inflated, has lost in a contest with a rendered image.
Choosing Angelina Jolie above Katie "Jordan" Price, we could quite understand, but gentlemen, we think you need to get out more. ®
