Catalogue shop Argos is to start selling pre-pay video mobile phones from 3.

With 550 shops across the UK Argos claims to be within ten miles of 95 per cent of the British population. Handsets from NEC and LG are available. 3 phones will also be included in the Argos catalogue, which the company says can be found in two thirds of UK homes.

Gareth Jones, COO of 3, said: "This arrangement with Argos underlines our commitment to challenge the old mobile networks at every level...Our arrangement with Argos further strengthens the presence of the 3 brand on the high street, as well as direct to customers through the Argos catalogue." ®
