Spare three minutes for a quick survey, guv?

Survey It's a funny old thing, the Internet. You can set up a successful site, attract millions of dedicated readers, but still not know anything about them.
Indeed, it has been estimated that were all of El Reg's readers to stand shoulder-to-shoulder, they would cover an area equivalent to three Isles of Wight, or seventeen thousand football pitches, or two million four hundred thousand Windows 98 user guides.
It's a lovely thought, but - and here's the rub - how do you develop your product to deliver what this great discerning mass of humanity actually wants? Yup, you've guessed it: this is where you come in.
We'd like you to take just three minutes of your valuable time to complete our online survey [1]. It's anonymous and asks all sorts of exciting and apposite questions, such as: "What is your main source for IT news and information?"
Answers not on a postcard, but right here [2], please. We can't offer you anything for your time other than the certain knowledge that you have contributed to the evolution of The Register. Oh yes, and our eternal gratitude. Thank you. ®
